Why this app exists

For users with their own private networking (corporate VPN, dedicated line, isolated intranet), routing video through a vendor cloud is a privacy and compliance concern. IPC-Direct connects to compatible NVR devices directly over a proprietary network protocol — your video never leaves your network.

Prerequisites

You need your own compatible NVR or IP camera, and a way for your iPhone to reach it on the network (LAN, VPN, or port mapping). This app does not include or sell any hardware.

Overview

IPC-Direct is a tool for connecting to your own privately owned NVR / IP camera devices. It is developed by an independent developer and does not depend on any cloud service. All data flows stay within your own local network.

Information we do NOT collect

IPC-Direct does not collect, store, or upload any of the following:

Your video streams or recordings
Your device IP addresses, serial numbers, or MAC addresses
Your credentials (stored only in iOS Keychain, locally on device)
Your location, advertising identifiers (IDFA / IDFV), or device fingerprints
Any analytics, tracking, or telemetry data

Permissions the app uses

Permission	Purpose
Local Network	Required to discover and connect to your NVR / IP camera devices on the local network.
Photo Library (Add)	Used to save snapshots from live preview or playback to your photo library.

Data flow

All video streams and control commands flow directly between your iPhone and your NVR over a proprietary network protocol:

No third-party servers are involved, including but not limited to:

Any vendor cloud service
The app developer's servers (none exist)
Any CDN, analytics, or relay services

Third-party components

The app uses a vendor-provided SDK to communicate with compatible NVR / IP camera devices via their proprietary protocol. This SDK communicates only with the device you explicitly configure and does not report any information to external services in normal operation.

Your control over your data

Deleting the app removes all locally stored device information, credentials (Keychain), and caches.
There is no "export" feature because there is no remote backup of your data.

Children's privacy

IPC-Direct is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone.
